The Barrel is threaded in the popular 5/8 x 24 ... My #102 has a P-rail so mount + optic was straightforward. My take is that a good optic starts at around $400. One can go well past $2,000 if he’s so inclined. 1X for short-range (and illuminated reticle option) seems obvious; 6X, 8X & 10X are all possibilities at other end.
